Password Protection in Cocos / CocosPlus

Software Cocos and Cocos Plus keep your passwords, secret questions and the answers as encoded strings.

The encoding method is Triple DES.

To decide whether you trust this method read more about it from independed sources using google.com, wikipedia.org, etc.

To make sure that the program is not a spyware that sends your secret info test it via antiviruses, for example Avira, DrWEB or some other you prefer.

If you have doubts still, do not keep your passwords directly. Instead some hints like: "see page 23 in my diary" can be used.

Please note! Do not forget the password you lock the datafile. If the password is lost we are NOT ABLE to recover the data even if you send us your encoded datafile.
